Kid-Friendly Strategies for Cooling Down When Anger Heats Up

Anger ManagementWorksheetFree Resource

Everyone feels angry sometimes, and that is completely okay. Anger is a normal feeling. What matters is what you do when anger shows up. This worksheet teaches you four coping skills you can use when you start to feel mad. After learning each skill, practice using the table below to plan which skill you will use in different situations.

Think of times when you feel angry. Write what makes you mad in the first column. Then choose a coping skill from the list (Walk Away, Belly Breathing, Do Something Fun, or Talk About It) and write your plan for using it. Finally, draw or write how you want to feel after using your skill.
