Recognizing Your Anger Cues
Identify the physical, cognitive, and behavioral signals of rising anger
Anger rarely appears out of nowhere. Before it reaches full intensity, the body and mind send early warning signals. These cues often begin when you are only mildly frustrated, making them easy to overlook. Learning to recognize your personal anger cues gives you the opportunity to intervene early, while your anger is still manageable.
For each category, write in the warning signs you tend to notice when your anger is building. Focus especially on the subtle, early signs that appear when you are only slightly irritated.
