Sentence completion exercises help bypass the inner critic by providing a structured starting point for self-reflection. Research on self-affirmation theory (Sherman & Cohen, 2006; Cascio et al., 2022) demonstrates that reflecting on personal values, accomplishments, and positive relationships strengthens resilience and reduces defensive responses to challenges. Complete each sentence below with the first honest thought that comes to mind. There are no wrong answers.
